People We Adore: Stacy Vajta

A: I’m Stacy Vajta, and I run Sacred Art & Story, a creative space for soulful art-making. My work is all about helping women, especially those over 50, reconnect with their creativity in a way that feels meaningful, intuitive, and deeply personal. Creativity isn’t just about making something pretty—it’s a way to tell your story, explore who you are, and tap into the wisdom that comes with age.

Through workshops, digital classes, and creative prompts, I guide women out of their thinking minds and into a more intuitive, playful creative process. From journal-making and oracle card creation to sacred doll-making and soulful art rituals, everything I create is designed to inspire self-discovery and a deeper connection to oneself. At its heart, my mission is simple: to help women reclaim their creativity as a tool for self-expression, healing, and personal growth—because we’re all creative. Sometimes, we just need a little permission to play.

A: I’d say my superpower is my ability to tap into energy—into what feels unseen or nebulous—and put language to it in a way that brings clarity and meaning. Whether in my coaching or creative work, I read energy to pinpoint what’s really going on, helping people make their own connections and insights. On a personal level, this deep connection to energy and intuition has shaped how I move through life.

One moment that stands out was when I realized that my intuition doesn’t work in a structured, step-by-step way—it comes through play, art, and creativity. When I feel stuck or uncertain, I know it’s time to create. The more I allow myself to make art, the more I drop into that space of deep listening, inner quiet, and receiving—co-creating with something bigger than myself. It’s not about forcing answers but about allowing them to surface.

A: For me, making art is one of the best ways to de-stress and reset. There’s something about working with my hands—especially needle felting—that feels incredibly grounding (maybe it’s all that stabbing… very therapeutic!). Creativity is how I process, shift energy, and reconnect with myself when life feels overwhelming.

But I’m also an essential oil lover. Give me a good earthy scent, and I can find my way back to myself. I love integrating oils into meditation or movement—something active, like a walking meditation or even just stretching—to help me shake off whatever’s weighing on me. It’s all about getting back to that deep breath and clear head.

A: I most connect with the second chakra, because the energy and lessons that show up there have been some of my most powerful areas of healing. For me, it’s all about owning my space in the world and claiming my inner authority. Some might associate that more with another chakra, but I see the second chakra deeply woven into that process.

It reminds me of being two years old—learning that it’s okay to step away from what’s familiar, to explore, to say, I want that, even if it’s different from what everyone else expects. It’s about desire and permission—to want what we want and trust that we’re allowed to have it. And interestingly, that’s exactly what so many of my clients struggle with, too: finding their space, knowing they can take up room, and fully embracing their own desires.
